Here is a list of ways for you to get
involved with US, but we’ll work with you to find
the best fit for you. Please contact our offices
VOLUNTEER AT OUR PROGRAMS
-
 Become a Mentor Artist for an entire
program
- Help
us during tech week as a Production
Week Volunteers
- Show up the day of performance and assist US with Front of House
- Participate as a Staged Reader
- Help recruit volunteers.
*By law, all volunteers that work with the kids must be 21
years of age, fingerprinted and have a Department of Justice
Child Abuse background check and/or VISTO Clearance through
Los Angeles County Probation Department. The Unusual Suspects
annual mandatory training session is required for all workshop
artists as is Red Cross/CPR and Universal Precautions
training.
HELP US GET THE WORD OUT!
- Join our Ambassador Group and help get the
word out about US in your community.
- Contribute to our newsletter and/or
website.
- Graphic design support for our viral
emails, show play bills, program fliers.
BE A PART OF OUR GROWTH
- Assist with fundraising.
- Serve on our Board of Directors, Advisory
Board and/or Support Committees.
- Help secure a space for US headquarters –
we are expanding rapidly and hope to have a theatre space of
our own within the next 2-3 years
- Help
us network with public and private
agencies to support our youth.
- Provide expertise in addressing issues of
juvenile justice.
OFFICE ASSISTANCE
- Technical and IT assistance.
- Archiving photographs to document all of
the incredible voices in our programming.
IN-KIND DONATIONS
- Make an in-kind donation of goods and/or
services (printing, storage space, sound equipment, props, IT
assistance, graphic design, PR).
